[personal] A Little of Everything.
I love to write about drama. I don’t like to live it.
For some, finding a routine and sticking to it means no routine. A plan is having no plan, or “My plan is that you don’t get to have a plan.”
I’m trying to find the Zen in that; have been trying for the past two years. My plan is one of not giving up so there will be disagreements about lack of communication (ongoing, probably life-long), household action items (ongoing because someone doesn’t communicate well), and writing. It’s the constant waffling that drives me batty. But learning the constant waffling is The Plan, I can better learn to deal with that too. Fingers crossed.
A ridiculous amount of yard cleanup occurred over the past couple of weeks. Even though I love the rain, the days of sun felt good. Now the squiggly birch tree catkins are dropping everywhere. No worries. A few days of rain will finish this process; a lawn mow and sweep will rid the rest before long.
Though I wanted to, I did not take my car out of the garage. Too much yard work, not enough time. Just as well. I’m saving it for a special event.
The new cat, Newton, is adjusting very well. Only two others hate her still. Sadly, the health of Zooot, the Queen since January 2011, is failing due to kidney disease. It won’t be long. She’s sixteen years as of tomorrow and has led a very, very full life.
Wrapping up chapter two of my wtf? Y/A today (postponed on and off for two weeks due to above plan changes and pet health issues). Finally finished reading two really big and dense books I began last year thus reducing the pile to somewhere just under four feet tall. The “elephant butt sitting on my shoulders”-sized amount of pressure I put on myself to read such feels much reduced.
And I got to watch the entire first season of Game of Thrones. Wow. Someone The Man works with told him GoT was Y/A. Uh, NO? The joke was on him. He liked it enough he’s watching it a second time.
